Great Branding Isn’t Created in Adobe Illustrator. It’s Created in Conversations.

Great Branding is Created with Good Conversations

When most people imagine the branding process, they picture a designer sitting behind a screen, sketching logo concepts and choosing color palettes. But great branding isn’t created in Adobe Illustrator. It’s created in conversations.

    Somewhere between…

“Why did you start this business?”

“What made you believe this was worth building?”

“What do your customers love about working with you?”

…the real brand starts to emerge.

The logo isn’t discovered by pushing pixels around.

    It’s discovered by understanding people.

I’ve found that every business has a story hiding just beneath the surface. Sometimes it’s a founder who left a corporate job to build something more meaningful. Sometimes it’s a family business that’s been quietly serving its community for generations. Sometimes it’s a simple belief that there had to be a better way.

Those stories don’t always end up literally inside the logo.

But they shape every decision that follows.

    The typography.

    The colors.

    The symbolism.

    The tone.

    Even what gets left out.

    That’s why I love branding.

Not because I love making logos.

Because every project gives me the chance to step into someone else’s world for a little while. To ask questions. To be curious. To understand not just what they do, but why it matters.

    The design is important.

But it’s the understanding that makes the design memorable.

Because great branding isn’t created in Adobe Illustrator.

    It’s created in conversations.
